Half-Life: Opposing Force

Half-Life: Opposing Force is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Gearbox Software in 1999. It is an expansion pack for the original game Half-Life, created by Valve Software.

The game is played from the perspective of Adrian Shephard, a soldier in the United States Marine Corps sent to the Black Mesa Research Facility to quell the alien invasion that occurred in Half-Life. The player must navigate through the complex, battling alien creatures and human soldiers while uncovering the facility's secrets.

Opposing Force introduces new weapons, such as the shock rifle and sniper rifle, as well as new enemies, including the Race X aliens. The player can also experience new gameplay mechanics, such as driving an APC vehicle and controlling a mounted gun.
